Samuel "Sam" Adams is an American 🏷️#venture-capitalist, 🏷️#entrepreneur, and the Founder and Managing Partner of Bixby, an early-stage venture firm based in 📝Los Angeles, CA. He focuses on backing technical founders during the pre-seed and seed stages, specifically targeting teams demonstrating early traction. His investment strategy emphasizes close partnership with founders to transition products from initial market pull to durable operating scale, leveraging his background in go-to-market execution and early-stage operations. Prior to founding Bixby in 2025, he served as the Director of Portfolio Support at 📝Struck Capital, where he provided operational and recruitment guidance to over 20 companies. He also co-founded and led the media company dot.LA as CEO from its inception in 2019 until its acquisition in 2024. Earlier in his career, he held strategy roles at 📝Disney and the consulting firm Activate. He holds an A.B. from Harvard University and an MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business.
