Aber Whitcomb is the 🏷️#founder and CEO of Salt AI, a Los Angeles enterprise AI-orchestration platform that lets organizations connect firewalled data to build AI agents, automations, and workflows across major closed- and open-source models. He co-founded Salt with Jim Benedetto and was named CEO in December 2024. Whitcomb is best known as the co-founder and former CTO of MySpace, where he led engineering and technical operations and was named one of InfoWorld's "Top 25 CTOs of 2009."
After MySpace, Whitcomb co-founded and served as CTO of mobile-gaming company Jam City (formerly SGN), co-founded blockchain and AI-hosting company Core Scientific, and was a partner in the early-stage mentorship program i/o Ventures. He is a recognized expert in large-scale computing, networking, and storage, holds a degree from the University of Washington, and notably owns "Victoria," one of the most complete Tyrannosaurus rex skeletons studied by paleontologists.
I met Aber at a founder dinner co-hosted by 📝Samuel Adams of 📝Bixby and 📝Thomas Kang of 📝Fenwick & West.
