Will Cady is a creator, strategist, educator, and consciousness-focused advisor whose work bridges culture, technology, and healing. Cady is co-founder and Head of Creative Strategy at @HEAL MVMNT, a culture agency fostering organizational alignment, cultural innovation, and leadership transformation by harnessing the power of culture as a driver of sustainable change—helping organizations translate values into coherent systems and navigate periods of strategic transition. Cady previously served as Global Director of @KarmaLab at @Reddit, where he launched the company’s @Los Angeles, CA office and built its in-house creative strategy agency. His team played a meaningful role in expanding Reddit’s core revenue stream, paid advertising. He later transitioned and become Reddit’s Global Brand Ambassador, representing the company across media, executive briefings, and keynote stages while promoting a community-centric approach to brand storytelling. He supported Reddit's evolution for eight years, through it's IPO in March 2024, before leaving to start HEAL MVMNT. During his time at Reddit, and incorporating much of it, he wrote '@Which Way is North: A Creative Compass for Makers, Marketers, and Mystics', recognized by Inc. Magazine as a Fall 2023 “must-read” and selected for The Next Big Idea Book Club. Before Reddit, Cady worked within @SPIN Magazine’s broader media network in integrated marketing and strategy, later returning as a columnist exploring the friction between humanity and technology. His background includes zen monastic training, a career as a touring #musician with millions of streams, and extensive tarot practice—foundations that shape his approach to meaning-making and psychological safety. He served as Resident Mystic at @SoHo House and offered regular “mystical office hours” at @Mystic Journey, providing more than a thousand tarot readings to leaders, artists, and creators. Cady is also an Emmy Award recipient (New England Regional) for Musical Composition/Arrangement and a Berklee College of Music graduate, where he received both the Entering Student Talent Scholarship and the Achievement Scholarship. His industry recognition includes @AdWeek’s Top 50 in Tech, Media, and Marketing (2020) and the Top 100 Oncon Icon Marketers (2021). He serves on the Advisory Council of Project Healthy Minds and continues to publish columns with SPIN Magazine. My connection with Will has always felt like one of those threads life starts weaving long before you notice its pattern. We first crossed paths after my @Stoned and Single dating-profile experiment on Reddit caught his attention—an irreverent moment that unexpectedly sparked one of my most meaningful friendships. Soon after, he joined us at @Symposium, where he met @John Zdanowski, and the synchronicity deepened when I later discovered he was the artist behind @What Fills The Gap—my first encounter with @Alan Watts in 2015 and a formative piece of my own personal unfolding. By the time Will and his wife, @Rachelle Cady, joined my (at the time new girlfriend), @Chantle Edillor, and I for a double date in December 2019, our lives were already beginning to overlap. Two months later, we were with them in Joshua Tree for @Day of Not, a potent gathering that shifted something in everyone present. Later that year, at @Saddle Peak House and during the @COVID-19 pandemic, Will officiated our wedding. He joked he was “just doing [his] job… making sure no more dating profiles advertised on Reddit,” and while @My First Marriage didn’t endure, the friendship forged inside that chapter did. Will was a @Founding Citizen of @One Inc Cooperative and later served on its Board of Directors, helping shape the organization during its earliest, most idealistic phase. Through every stage of my own evolution—making, marketing, mystic-ing—he has been a steady, generous advisor. Our collaboration has only deepened in recent years, and watching him step into fatherhood has added new texture to his voice. I’m excited to see how that evolution shapes his writing, his work, and the many ways he continues to help others orient toward their own northward pull.
