Mythos

Influence Syndrome, similar to 📝Impostor Syndrome, is a psychological pattern when an 📝influencer, a person who inspires or guides the actions of others, feels trapped in a persona of their former 📝self.

The audiences upon which influencers base their livelihood often resist change with life changes of influencers prompting loss of viewers, followers, customers, etc. Since influencers often build their lives with 📝Financial Capital from sponsors, this can inhibit natural processes of self-discovery and growth.

At 📝Ghost Influence, I saw this often and often saw this resistance to be a matter of 📝context. In other words, an influencer's audience was more likely to support shifts in an influencer's energy when they were given context for the change. Similarly, in the medical industry, surveys suggest that over 40% of patients subject to medical malpractice would not sue if someone had apologized and explained.

📝MythOS as a 📝Living System and a medium 📝Nonlinear Storytelling seems to make space for this. It enables the story to grow and its audiences to explore on their own terms. We're co-creating with a number of multifaceted influencers in 📝One Place and exploring how we can support their elevation.

Thanks 📝Will Cady for birthing this 📝frame and phrase!
