Mythos

Digests & Preambles bundle your 📝Newsletters updates into scheduled emails, each led by a personal introduction you write. They exist so subscribers get a tidy daily, weekly, or monthly roundup of what you published instead of a message per memo — and so you can frame that roundup in your own voice. They're for any newsletter-enabled creator whose subscribers prefer a periodic summary over instant notifications.

Key Capabilities

  • Scheduled bundles — daily, weekly, or monthly digests of your substantively-updated public memos
  • Personal preamble — a versioned intro that rides at the top of each digest email
  • Change threshold — minor edits are skipped, so a typo fix never emails your list
  • Bundled or separate — subscribers get one combined email, or one digest per creator
  • Version-aware delivery — a preamble sends once, only to subscribers who haven't seen that version
  • Send ledger — every digest is logged, feeding your monthly email count

Getting Started

Digests are part of the 📝Oracle-tier newsletter; subscribers pick their cadence when they join.

  1. Subscribers choose daily, weekly, or monthly delivery on your subscribe form
  2. Tune the change threshold per topic in Settings → Newsletter so minor edits don't trigger sends
  3. Write your intro at Settings → Newsletter → Preamble — save a draft, then publish a new version
  4. Publish or substantially update public memos; matching subscribers receive them in their next digest

FAQ

  • What counts as a "substantive" update? A change above your threshold — by default a memo notifies when its wording changes by at least 10%, or by 50 words. You can override the threshold per topic (0 means every change qualifies).
  • How is a digest different from instant delivery? Instant subscribers get a single email the moment you publish; digest subscribers get a scheduled bundle (daily, weekly, or monthly) of everything since their last one.
  • Does my preamble repeat in every digest? No — a published preamble version is sent once per subscriber; you publish a new version when you want the next intro to go out.
  • What's the difference between bundled and separate mode? Bundled combines every creator a subscriber follows into one email; separate sends one digest per creator.
  • Is there a limit on digest emails? All sends — instant, digest, and broadcast — count toward the newsletter's 100,000-emails-per-month limit.
