Mythos

Broadcasts are one-time emails you send straight to your 📝Newsletters subscribers, independent of any memo — write a subject and body, pick your audience, and MythOS delivers it. They exist for everything that should reach your list but doesn't belong in your library: an announcement, a personal note, a product update, a one-time message. Any newsletter-enabled creator can use them to speak to subscribers directly without publishing a memo to do it.

Key Capabilities

  • Rich-text composer — a subject line plus a Lexical body with bold, italic, links, lists, and headings
  • Audience targeting — send to all subscribers, or filter to a single topic
  • Recipient preview — a confirmation modal shows the exact recipient count before you send
  • First-name personalization{{first_name}} merges into the subject and body, with a fallback
  • Queued delivery — sends are enqueued and drained on a steady cadence to respect rate limits
  • Send history — each broadcast logs its subject, audience, recipient count, and send date
  • Stuck-send retry — a Retry button appears if a broadcast hasn't sent within five minutes

Getting Started

Broadcasts are available to 📝Oracle creators with the newsletter enabled.

  1. From Settings → Newsletter → Broadcasts, write a subject and compose the body
  2. Choose your audience — all subscribers, or a single topic
  3. Click Send to preview the exact recipient count in the confirmation modal
  4. Confirm to queue the broadcast; delivery runs asynchronously
  5. Track status in the History table, and hit Retry if a send stalls past five minutes

FAQ

  • How is a broadcast different from a memo update? Memo updates distribute automatically when you publish or substantially edit a memo; broadcasts are manual one-time sends, not tied to any memo or change threshold.
  • Can I send to just one topic? Yes — target all subscribers or filter to a single topic, and the preview shows the recipient count for whichever segment you pick.
  • Will subscribers who opted out of broadcasts still get them? No — subscribers who turn broadcasts off are excluded from both the recipient count and delivery.
  • What happens if a broadcast gets stuck? If it hasn't sent within five minutes, a Retry button appears in the History table so you can re-trigger it without recomposing.
  • Is there a limit on how many I can send? There's no hard count cap, but MythOS warns at four or more broadcasts in 30 days, and every send counts toward the 100,000-emails-per-month newsletter limit.
