Mythos

Resonance Dollars, or R$, were the virtual currency of 📝One Economy, granted to 📝Citizens of One to recognize and reward contribution to 📝One Inc. They served as the unit that unified the cooperative's many 📝Types of Capital and as the metric for distributing patronage to members. A positive R$ balance represented a Citizen's standing in the community: as the balance climbed, so did a member's access to the cooperative's products and services, and their position in 📝One Balance, the public ledger.

Citizens could spend R$ on services offered by other members in 📝One Marketplace, put it toward 📝virtual corporations incubated by the community, and more.

The idea began as a year-long conversation between 📝Brian Swichkow and 📝John Zdanowski, sparked by the 📝Currency of Cooperation chapter of 📝The Ascent of Humanity. It was first, briefly, called "cons-cents" — before the founders settled on a story of resonance and the legal mechanism to support it.
