Mythos

Alexandra Fine is an #entrepreneur, #activist, and the co-founder and CEO of @Dame Products, a sexual wellness company recognized for evidence-informed, @User-Centered Design and activism to close the “pleasure gap.” A sexologist, she studied clinical psychology and sex therapy at Washington University in St. Louis and Columbia University, applying that training to develop body-safe products and educational resources that position pleasure within health and wellness. She co-founded the company with engineer Janet Lieberman and scaled it via a @Direct to Consumer (DTC) model, pairing in-house research with community testing. Fine has been named to @Forbes 30 Under 30 and frequently contributes expertise in interviews with major outlets, including @The New York Times, @NPR, and @Fast Company. Her advocacy for equitable treatment of sexual wellness in advertising included successfully challenging restrictive transit policies in New York, underscoring her emphasis on @curiosity, @consent, and public health over sensationalism. Through product innovation, research support, and public education, she frames pleasure as a legitimate component of well-being and a lever for equity, aligning business growth with cultural progress. I was introduced to Alex in by @John Zdanowski in 2018. At the time, John was managing @Assembled Brands, a $100M @Direct to Consumer (DTC) venture debt fund and Alex had wandered into his office for a meeting. He texted me her LinkedIn profile and told me she was flying back to @New York City, NY in the morning, so we scheduled an impromptu, 45-minute meetup for a cocktails and—in a blink—four hours had gone by. We've been friends ever since. Alex's passion for helping people to discover their own pleasure (my words) is intoxicating.
