Awakened Lawyer is a product concept for an 📝Augmented Human lawyer that lives inside 📝Slack and handles routine legal requests using a library of simple, plain-language agreements.
The concept starts from the observation that legal agreements are complicated because lawyers are paid by the hour, while the law itself does not require complicated agreements. Awakened Lawyer pairs a library of agreements, each summarized with a simple 📝Schumer Box, with an assistant that takes requests in plain language inside a team's existing workspace.
Typical requests include getting an NDA signed with a named person, helping someone file an 📝83(b) Election, or producing a software license agreement with a platform fee and a revenue share. The assistant handles the drafting and routing that would otherwise consume billable hours, with the agreements kept short enough for each party to read.
The character is inspired by the first business person at 📝Second Life, 📝Ginsu Yoon, who was instrumental in my joining 📝Linden Lab.
