Evan Loomis is an American 🏷️#entrepreneur and 🏷️#author, co-founder of the 3D-printed-home company ICON and co-author with 📝Evan Baehr of 📝Get Backed (Harvard Business Review Press, 2015), a step-by-step guide to early-stage fundraising built around the pitch deck.
Loomis was also a co-founder of TreeHouse, the Austin-based sustainable-home retailer, where he led capital strategy and fundraising during the company's expansion years. He has built much of his public-facing work around the mechanics of raising early-stage capital — particularly around what investors actually look at in pitch decks, the order in which to approach them, and how to structure the storytelling around a company's traction — themes that became the spine of Get Backed.
