Mythos

A few months after we celebrated our @Fuckiversary, @The Birthday Girl and I began to realize that if we didn't leave the comfort of our @Romantic Way Station we were unlikely to reach our final destinations. Wanted to part ways as friends, we planed a breakup and celebrate it as if it were an anniversary. The 'Fucking Farewell', as the event was named in our calendars, was the gratitude-rich end* of @The Eternal Tryst as a means of @making space for our @Perfect Partners to @manifest. We went to @Cafe Gratitude for a "proper date" and shared her first experience of their @affirmation menu. We shared a @Neighborhood Walk and... kept my neighbors up all night. In the morning, she gave me a card with a poem and we went for breakfast before parting* with a long and tearful hug. *We inadvertently, and only briefly, rekindled our tryst three months later but re-ended it as friends, again.

Card

The card TBS gave me was addressed to 'My @Lover... my friend' and the card read**, in part,

"Let us raise our glasses... a toast, to the end of an eternity as our tryst gives way to memory. [...] @Arcade Kisses and an over-shoulder text [...] To growing together, and ultimately splitting apart. To never settling -- when it comes to matters of the heart. So, despite the urges we still can't quite quell, the time has come for this Fucking Farewell. And so, my soulful, sweet, sexy lover, I bid you Adieu, may closure here help us to find our "@Hell Yeah, I do!" ~ [TBG]

**The above excerpt is about 1/3 of the full poem and, to preserve the intimacy, the [...]s skip, what were for me, the best parts; a kind of x-rated @Contextual Augmentation.
