Mythos

Bambu Lab is a Shenzhen-based 3D printer manufacturer, founded in 2020 by former DJI engineers, known for fast, enclosed CoreXY desktop printers with automated calibration and multi-material printing.

The company reached prominence with its X1 series — led by the X1-Carbon — which pairs high-speed CoreXY motion with an enclosed chamber, AI-vision and lidar-assisted calibration, and the Automatic Material System (AMS) for multi-color and multi-material prints. Its 2022 Kickstarter raised roughly $7 million, among the platform's most-funded hardware campaigns, and the X1 was named to TIME's Best Inventions of 2022.

Bambu Lab's lineup spans prosumer and budget tiers, including the P1 and A1 series, and the company has drawn praise for bringing near-industrial reliability to hobbyist price points alongside criticism over cloud-dependent firmware and ecosystem lock-in.
