FarmLoop Stage 2 Kit is a CHF 115 automation retrofit from Swiss maker 3D Farmers that turns 📝Bambu Lab P- and X-series printers into self-clearing machines by flexing the build plate to eject finished parts.
The kit drives two high-force linear actuators against the printer's flexible build plate, applying up to 64 Nm across as much as 50 mm of flex in a two-phase sequence — an initial bend, a short relaxation, then full flex — so adhesion releases progressively from edge to center rather than all at once. A limit switch detects print completion, an optional 24 V fan accelerates cooling before ejection, and a force-sensing button opens the chamber door with obstacle detection as a safety interlock.
Hardware ships as a custom control board (FarmBoard), two actuators, a limit switch, a door activation button, a power supply, a screw set, and cable management accessories; the mounting brackets are printed by the owner from free STL files published on MakerWorld. 3D Farmers describes installation as plug-and-play in under 30 minutes once those parts are printed. Operation requires the FarmLoop Pro app to insert the automation G-code and tuning parameters, or the SimplyPrint farm management software in its place.
Two variants exist: with fan, compatible with the P1P, P1S, X1C, and X1E, and without fan, which additionally covers the P2S and X2D. The kit targets unattended overnight and queued production runs — the step between a single supervised printer and a print farm, without the robotic arm or conveyor belt that larger automation systems require.
