MythOS is a networked knowledge platform where every idea, person, project, and decision lives as a linked 📝memo in a library you own. It is built as a 📝Single Source of Truth: write something once, then link it, publish it, share it, and hand it to AI agents from anywhere. A markdown editor, a private daily journal, @-mention linking, tags, and a knowledge graph sit alongside publishing, communities, newsletters, and an 📝MCP server, so one library serves private thinking, team collaboration, public writing, and the AI tools you work with.
Why a Library Outlasts the Chat Window
AI assistants now act on your behalf, but every session starts cold unless it can reach durable context. MythOS exposes a library to any MCP client through one endpoint, mythos.one/api/mcp: Claude on the web, desktop, iOS, and Android signs in over OAuth, and editors like 📝Cursor connect the same way or with an API key, which comes with 📝Scholar and above. A connected client gets 60 tools for search, memo writes, templates, tasks, and the daily journal, and the 📝Augmentation System loads four identity memos — Soul, Style, Human, and Memory — before it writes. Chat inside MythOS runs on six model providers — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, MiniMax, and Moonshot — on a MythOS-funded balance or your own key through 📝BYOK. Because the library outlives any single model or app, what you capture today stays usable by whichever tool you pick next.
Memory, Mind, and Mouth
MythOS began in 2017 as a medium for communicating and educating, and its architecture still follows three layers described in 📝Memory → Mind → Mouth → Myth. Memory is the library itself: modular memos in the spirit of the 📝Zettelkasten, connected by 📝Networked Thought rather than folders. Mind is the classification and workflow that shapes that memory — templates, tags, and agent instructions that decide how a memo is written and checked. Mouth is the outward voice: publishing, newsletters, and chat that carry what the library knows into email, the web, and conversation. The result is 📝Personal Knowledge Management that does not stop at the edge of your notes.
Writing and Connecting
The 📝Editor turns markdown into rich memos with callouts, tables, embeds, and slash commands, and 📝Version History keeps 13 months of restorable edits. Typing @ draws a 📝Mention to another memo with a live title and hover preview; typing # adds a 📝Tagging chip that files the memo into a collection. Every mention also becomes a backlink, which is how the 📝Graph maps your library without manual upkeep. Each day gets a 📝Daily Memo for journaling, with 📝Tasks and habits tracked alongside it.
Sharing and Publishing
Every memo carries its own 📝Visibility — public, unlisted, hidden, or private — so private reflection and public writing live in the same library. 📝Memo Collaboration invites others to co-create, 📝Communities gather memos from many creators into moderated collections, and 📝MythOS Newsletters mail your memos to subscribers. 📝Custom Domains and 📝SEO & AEO put a library in front of search engines and answer engines. Writing is free on every account; 📝Plans & Tiers sell reach — media, public publishing, collaborators, agent access, and newsletters.
