Plans & Tiers in 📝MythOS are the four membership levels that 📝Billing & Plans sells and that every other feature checks before it lets you act. Free, 📝Scribe, 📝Scholar, and 📝Oracle form a ladder, each inheriting everything below it.
The split is deliberate: writing is never the thing you pay for. Capture, search, the daily journal, tasks, habits, the knowledge graph, and your own AI chat all work on a free account. What a plan buys is reach — the ability to put media in a memo, publish it publicly, hand it to a collaborator, wire an agent to your library, mail it to subscribers, or serve it from your own domain.
That makes the tier you want a function of how far outward your work travels, not how much of it there is.
Key Capabilities
- Free — the signup default: full editor, search, journal, and graph, capped at 10 new memos a day
- Scribe — removes the daily cap, unlocks media uploads, and allows posting directly into communities
- Scholar — public memos, collaborators, API keys and agent access, email ingestion, hero images, per-memo SEO
- Oracle — custom domains, the full newsletter suite, and managing another creator's library
- Indexing and sitemaps — profile and memo indexability is a Scholar capability; Oracle raises the sitemap allowance
- Upload allowances — 5 MB per file and 500 MB total on Scribe, 10 MB and 5 GB on Scholar, 25 MB and no total cap on Oracle
- Free trial — 14 days on any paid tier, with no payment method required to start

FAQ
- Is there a genuinely free tier? Yes. Every new account starts on Free with the full editor and library, limited to 10 new memos per day, no media uploads, and no public publishing.
- Do I need a credit card to try a paid plan? No. A 14-day trial is available on any paid tier without a payment method, once per customer, and it simply ends if no card is added.
- Does any plan include AI credits? No. Chat on MythOS-provided model keys is funded by a separate prepaid balance, or you can connect your own provider key and pay that provider directly.
- What happens to my public memos if I downgrade? They stay public and readable — the gate applies when you publish, not retroactively. You just cannot make new memos public until you are back on Scholar or above. Leaving Oracle does suspend any custom domain.
- Does the per-file upload limit apply everywhere? It applies in full to images you add in the editor. A few surfaces are currently narrower — hero images and uploads made by an agent over the API both stop at 5 MB regardless of tier.
