Resonance Dollars in 📝MythOS are an upcoming point currency for 📝Communities and their members — earned through contribution, spent within a community, and eventually exchanged across an inner ecosystem of community and platform currencies. They exist because communities generate value in more forms than money, and a currency the community itself mints lets that value circulate instead of evaporating. This is for members who contribute and communities that want a treasury: contribution earns balance, elected treasurers disburse, and communities can exchange their currency with the platform for builds and support.
Key Capabilities
- Individual balances — earn, spend, transfer, and view history on a per-member ledger
- Community currencies — each community can mint its own currency and hold a treasury
- Role-bound treasury — disbursement follows elected roles like the Treasurer
- Platform exchange — exchange rates between community currencies and a platform currency
- Economic vs political — communities choose whether spending currency and voting weight are coupled
Getting Started
Coming soon. Individual balances arrive first, with community minting and platform exchange to follow.
FAQ
- Is this the same as Platform Credits? No — Platform Credits are a prepaid dollar balance that funds AI inference; Resonance Dollars are a community point currency for contribution and exchange.
- Do resonance dollars affect voting power? Only if a community chooses weighted voting; economic and political uses of the currency are deliberately separable.
- Can communities trade with the platform? That's the plan — community currency exchanged with the platform currency for builds or support, at published rates.
