Mythos

The Process is the weekly feedback loop at the center of 📝Our Framework: commit to the process rather than the outcome, build a model around the few metrics that forecast the business, then do the work, let the data lead, and improve every week.

  1. Commit to the process not the outcome
  2. Agree on purpose
  3. Build a model - find the 📝Vital Signs
  4. Do the work
  5. Let the data lead - 📝Monday Morning Metrics (MMM)
  6. Discuss openly
  7. Empower the team to improve themselves
  8. Repeat steps 4-8 weekly - this is the feedback loop - do it weekly.
  9. Implement this like a fractal from the top of the 📝Instrumentation Pyramid down
  10. Teach the process
  11. 📝Elevate your aim and start over

The Process is the component of a 📝CFO System that gives an organization a common language for how information flows through it. The first three steps set the foundation: a commitment to the method, a shared purpose, and a model built on the metrics that matter. Steps four through eight form the loop itself, in which the team does the work, reviews the numbers each Monday, discusses them openly, and improves.

The loop runs weekly because of the 📝Weekly Philosophy: an empowered team that understands its metrics weekly is the fastest way to improve a process. A weekly cycle gives a team 52 feedback loops a year instead of 12.

The Process is applied like a fractal. It starts at the top of the Instrumentation Pyramid, where the Vital Signs forecast the whole business, then repeats in each department, team, and role, each with its own metrics. Once the loop is working, it is taught to others, the aim is raised, and the process begins again.
