Extrinsic motivation refers to behavior that is driven by external rewards such as money, fame, grades, and praise. This type of motivation arises from outside of the individual, as opposed to @Intrinsic Motivation which originates inside of the individual. [1] In marketing, cultivation of extrinsic motivation through @Paid Media, @Influencer Marketing, and other @Subject (philosophy) @Influencer Marketing is an example of extrinsic motivation as it's aimed at cultivating the desire to conform to a societal construct; rewards beyond the individual.
