Mythos

**Clay CLI** is a feature of 📝Clay that drives the GTM data platform from the terminal as the clay binary — searching Clay's people and company dataset, running enrichment routines, building workflows, and managing audiences, signals, campaigns, and credits — with every response returned as JSON. It ships inside 📝Clay Agent Plugins because Clay's table-first UI left coding agents no programmatic way to build or run plays, and the CLI is the execution layer agents now call directly. It is built for GTM engineers and AI agents such as 📝Claude Code, 📝Codex, and 📝Cursor, and works on every plan, with search volume and advanced filters gated by tier.

Installed on our Mac Mini over SSH with a device-code sign-in, then used for a first trial pass on a live ICP: search, enrich, and work-email waterfall in about twenty credits. The data held up; the free plan's search limits were the constraint.

Key Capabilities

  • Search — query Clay's people and company dataset with a SQL-like select from people where … grammar, paging results against the plan's monthly result quota.
  • Routines — run Clay-managed functions such as Work Email and Enrich Person inline or in bulk, with a per-run credit estimate available before you spend.
  • Workflows — create, edit, test, and publish 📝Clay Workflows node by node, including triggers, code steps, snapshots, and diagrams.
  • Audiences and signals — create and update 📝Clay Audiences segments by filter, search their records, and manage signals on job changes.
  • Agent-safe contract — JSON on stdout, structured errors on stderr, and typed exit codes for auth, quota, rate limits, validation, and not-found.
