Mythos

Going, Going, Gone was a 🏷️#prank orchestrated by 📝Banksy. [1][2][3] The British street artist had secretly installed a shredder in the frame of his work, "Girl With Balloon,” a 2006 spray paint on canvas, "in case it was ever put up for auction." [1][2] When the gavel dropped, an alarm sounded and the artwork self-destructed. [1][2][3] Banksy has said previously that he never wanted his art to be sold at acton. He later posted a video of the shredder being built an included the quote,

"The urge to destroy is also a creative urge" ~ Picasso

This 📝memo was titled using the 📝cogent caption Banksy used when posting the prank to his 📝Instagram. [4] The 📝Meticulously Ridiculous stunt is 📝Media Manipulation at its finest and drove tens of millions of 📝Earned Media impressions in the days following the auction.
