Context
It was the "front page" for me processing the end an 18-month relationship. The whole process took two weeks and about 50,000 words. There are private 📝memos that I wrote to myself and public memos available to those who choose to find them (See: 📝Security Through Obscurity).
📝The Birthday Girl and I met when we weren't available and shared meaningful space. When she told me she'd found her 📝Perfect Partner she suggested I create my 📝Making Space For Love sticky note. That sticky note, three months later, manifested my wife.
I am 📝so happy and grateful for TBG and the all the lessons we learned together. At the time this email was written, it was with eyes filled with tears of joy—a feeling that persists to this day.

Hey Legend,
Last Sunday, the 📝universe booked me for a trip 📝Inside My Head. Two days later, it manifested the perfect visa for my transformation. The day's page that awaited me in 📝The Mythic Hours (one of my pre-journaling rituals) shared...
"Dew evaporates and all our world is dew... so dear; so refreshing, so fleeting." ~ Kobayashi Issa, Japanese Zen Buddhist
Issa wrote these words after the death of his beloved child. They express the metaphysical principle of impermanence, 📝Sunyata, or emptiness.
Despite the terrible ache we all feel as those we love leave us, we can take comfort in the beauty and inevitability of the cycle; rebirth comes from death.
Our lives are bounded by impermanence.
The brevity of life should alert us to the purpose of our existence: to grow in 📝compassion, 📝kindness, 📝love, and sensitivity. Our time is short and there is so much to learn, to be, and to do. Impermanence frames the field of our growth. It reminds us, focus on what is necessary and leave all else behind.
While our lives are bounded by impermanence, our hearts are bonded by it.
As my '📝Lover' has become the 'Love' of another, I've been reflecting on our 📝two year romance. I am so happy and grateful for the compassion, kindness, and love we shared. To see her happy is to see the growth that emerged in the space we made for each other. I may have lost a Lover, but I gained a friend.
"You can't 📝Connect The Dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to 📝trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future." ~ 📝Steve Jobs
If you're reading this from a space of transformation, know this,
"The wound is where the light enters you." ~ 📝Rumi
So too am I grateful for the friends who, in the past week and over the last two years, have brought light and love to these transformations. You are magic.
🙏
