Reddit is a 🏷️#social-platform and news aggregation site often dubbed “the 📝Front Page of the Internet.” A 📝Cloud Community, its architecture is built around user-created sub-communities called 📝Subreddits, where content rises through upvotes based on merit—typically relevance, novelty, and resonance. Popular posts across these communities filter into /r/all, giving them a chance to reach global visibility. As of March 2018, Reddit ranked as the 4th most visited site in the U.S. and the 7th globally, with over 524 million monthly visitors and a $1.8B valuation. Its user base—known as Redditors—is among the most engaged online, with 237% more pageviews per visitor and 144% longer time-on-site than Facebook. In Q4 2024, Reddit reported $427.7M in revenue, marking a 23% quarter-over-quarter increase. Reddit users are particularly active in product research: they evaluate twice the number of brands, conduct up to 4x more sessions, and make purchase decisions 9x faster—spending 15% more on average. Post-purchase, they report a 12% higher Net Promoter Score and are 13% more likely to advocate for the brand. Reddit users spend more of their journey actively researching, evaluating 2x the number of brands during up to 4x more research sessions. Informed and confident in their decision, Reddit users make 9x faster purchase decisions and spend 15% more.
