Signing In to 📝MythOS is the front door of 📝Accounts, Auth & Security — an email and password, or a Google account, both landing on the same library.
A library holds journals, private memos, contacts, and an AI agent with access to all of it, so the way in is deliberately narrow: one route, one identity, and every method managed from one page.
It is for every creator on the platform — nothing about creating an account, signing in, or securing it is gated by plan tier.
Key Capabilities
- Email and password — the default method, with a confirmation email before your first sign-in.
- Google sign-in — one button on the same page; new Google accounts finish with a short onboarding step.
- One page, two modes — signing up and signing in share the same route, switching in place.
- Password reset — a "Forgot Password?" link emails you a recovery link that opens a reset screen.
- Set a password later — a Google-only account can add one without unlinking Google.
- Linked accounts — connect or disconnect Google once you have two ways in.
- Throttled attempts — repeated failed sign-ins from one network are rate limited for a short window.
Getting Started
- Go to mythos.one/auth, enter an email and password, and accept the Terms to create your MythOS.
- Confirm your email from the message we send — the screen reads "Check your email", and you can resend after a minute.
- Or choose Google instead, then pick a username and display name on the onboarding screen.
- Returning later, sign in on the same page; use Forgot Password? if you need a reset link.
- Manage your password, linked accounts, and two-factor from Settings → Security.
FAQ
- Do I need a password if I signed up with Google? No. You can add one later from Settings → Security, where the heading reads "Set Password".
- What are the password rules? At least eight characters, including one uppercase letter and one number.
- Can I sign in with Apple? Not currently. Email and password and Google are the two available methods.
- What if I never received the confirmation email? Request another from the verification screen; there is a short cooldown between sends.
- Why am I being asked to pick a username? Google accounts arrive without one, so onboarding collects a username and display name before your library opens.
- Does any of this cost anything? No. Account creation, sign-in, password management, and two-factor are available on every plan.
