Mohammad Mojdehi (Mohammad Nikkhah Mojdehi) is an electrical 🏷️#engineer and power systems researcher who specializes in grid interconnection, microgrids, and the integration of distributed generation and electric vehicles into the power system. He earned a PhD in electrical engineering from 📝Syracuse University. His dissertation set out a systematic way to find operating conditions that can cause distributed generators to island unintentionally, intended as an analytical tool for utility interconnection studies.
Mojdehi led technical work for the energy program at O'Brien & Gere, an engineering firm that Ramboll acquired in 2018, covering power resiliency, microgrids, energy storage, and other advanced power applications. He has taught as adjunct faculty in Syracuse University's Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and has published widely on smart grid topics. With 📝Neil Webb he co-authored "Microgrid interoperability: First steps from policy to implementation" (IEEE, 2016). His work targets interconnection qualification analysis, the largely manual engineering review utilities require before large projects such as commercial solar connect to the grid (EPRI report for New York State).
I was introduced to Mohammad by Neil Webb.
