MMM for Shopify Businesses is the application of 📝Monday Morning Metrics (MMM) to eCommerce brands that sell through Shopify: a weekly report of the metrics that forecast the business, reviewed with the team every Monday.
The report is built on 📝eCommerce Vital Signs, the minimal set of Level 1 metrics for a direct-to-consumer business: ad spend, web traffic, conversion rate, average order value, repeat purchase rate, product margin, and gross margin. Together they show how many customers arrive, how many buy, what they spend, whether they return, and what each order earns, which is enough to calculate the 📝LTV:CAC ratio and track 📝Unit Economics week by week.
Shopify supplies the order and customer data and QuickBooks supplies the books. 📝ShopifyWeekly.co extracts the Shopify data into BigQuery, transforms it into standard weekly and monthly metrics, and presents them in Google Sheets for integration with the rest of the business in an 📝Integrated Financial Model (IFM). For a product business, the report also carries an inventory roll-forward alongside a simple cash-based P&L.
As with every MMM report, conditional formatting marks each metric green when it is better than last week, red when it is worse, and transparent when unchanged, and an "average weekly" view compares the current quarter with the previous quarter and the same quarter last year. The weekly cadence depends on books closed weekly through 📝Weekly Accounting.
