Mythos

A Queue is a list of specific units of 📝Specialized Digital Micro Tasks, the repeatable pieces of digital work that make up much of many people's jobs today.

A queue is staffed with people in the 🏷️#role its tasks require: people with the education, the training on the specific tools and process, and the problem-solving experience that those micro tasks call for. Because each unit is a defined task rather than an open-ended job, the work can be learned, delegated to specialists, and quality-checked one unit at a time.

Queues are the building blocks of 📝The Queue, John Zdanowski's model for structuring information-processing work: people who execute a checklist of steps to produce a deliverable on a defined schedule. Grouping that work into queues lets the same tasks be offered across many companies that use the same software, and lets the people who staff them move up a hierarchy of skills from task to QA to manager to creator.
