Mythos

Trigger Point is a hyperirritable spot in a taut muscle band that can refer sensation to another region.

Pressed, it often reproduces a familiar ache, warmth, or tingling away from the fingers — 📝Referred Pain. It sits inside a rope-like strand of fibers, not as a random bruise. In 📝Trigger Point Therapy that finding is a place to hold pressure, not a diagnosis of a torn muscle, a pinched nerve, or a disease in the tissue. Some points ache on their own; some are quiet until pressed and still shorten the muscle.

Clients feel it as a knot that "sends." The useful test is whether the distant sensation is familiar, not whether a chart of points has been completed. Needling and spray-and-stretch are not part of this practice.

Sharp, shooting, or unexplained pain, numbness, or weakness is a stop and, if it persists, a referral.
