Hey Legend,
This is a day late and a diatribe short for the same reason, 📝Emergence.
Emergence is when "the whole is greater than the sum of the parts," meaning that the whole has properties its parts do not have alone. It phenomena occurs in science, philosophy, art, etc. etc. Said simply, emergence is when a bunch of stupid things do smart things together.
"You can't touch an ant colony, only its parts. It has neither brain, nor face, no body—and yet the colony interacts with the world. Just like colonies emerge from ants, nations emerge from humans.
We still don't know why emergence happens, we just observe it—and it seems to be a fundamental property of our Universe. As 📝Nikola Tesla said, "if you want to find the secrets of the Universe, think in terms of 📝Energy, Frequency, and Vibration."
If you subscribe to Tesla's advice and think in these terms, you should feel in terms of 📝resonance; a synchronous relationship between beings.
Like meditation, resonance is a perpetual practice.
This past Monday was our fourth, and largest, 📝Symposium; a bi-weekly gathering. I had personally invited each attendee with the intention of making a mutually beneficial introduction to someone who had already registered. I had planned to dance between conversations and make these connections, but that didn't happen as I spent the night immersed in a few conversations.
What struck me as a curious lesson was how all of my intentions manifested without my doing—and far more powerfully. Everyone I'd planned to connect told me stories of the resonance they discovered with people I'd intended for them. Our frequencies united and, together, We emerged.
In a society 📝obsessed with metrics, it's important to remember the power of making space for what cannot be defined with words—what must instead be 📝The Felt Presence of Direct Experience.
