Andy Mai is a cat-loving product designer and full-stack developer who has worked on products across mobile, tablet, and web. He is, as he says, "one of those designers who code."
Mai has a patent for using audio recognition technology in interactive experiences; enabling apps to tell a user what song is playing. In 2011, he was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Interactive Media for his work on ABC's s Grey's Anatomy. Mai was also awarded 📝Reddit's 'Submitter of the Year' title in recognition for his contributions as moderator of /r/malefashionadvice where he helped to grow it's readership from 5,000 to 400,000 people.
In his free time, he plays with open-source projects, photographs the outdoors, and shares his home with four cats!
I was introduced to Andy by a mutual friend and had the opportunity to interview him on Episode 16 of the 📝Ghost Influence Podcast.
