Mythos

Hark is an 📝Artificial Intelligence (AI) lab founded in late 2025 by 📝Brett Adcock that builds multimodal foundation models, software, and AI-native hardware for a proactive personal assistant. Its first consumer product, Hark Pro, launched on October 6, 2026 on web, iOS, and Android. Hark Pro combines persistent memory with connected email, calendars, and accounts, surfaces suggested actions before the user asks, and carries out online errands through Handoff, Hark's computer-use agent. The base plan is free; paid tiers at $20 and $100 per month raise usage limits to 2× and 10×.

Adcock, who also co-founded 📝Archer Aviation and founded 📝Figure AI, seeded Hark with $100 million of his own capital. The company emerged from stealth in March 2026 and raised more than $700 million in a May 2026 📝Series A at a $6 billion post-money valuation, with backers including 📝NVIDIA, AMD Ventures, Intel Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, and AT&T. Abidur Chowdhury, the former 📝Apple designer behind the 📝iPhone Air, leads design. Handoff debuted as a research preview in August 2026; Hark claims it outperforms GPT-5.4 and Claude Opus 4.8 on browser-use benchmarks, though those results have not been independently verified. A family of portable devices for personal, home, and workplace use is slated for 2027, with AT&T providing cellular service; Chowdhury has ruled out camera glasses and wearable pins. Hark competes with 📝OpenAI and 📝Meta, whose 📝Muse assistant runs on its Charm device, and follows a first generation of AI gadgets, including 📝Limitless, that struggled to find durable footing.

Hark is betting on what I've been building toward since 2017: an AI that knows you and acts for you. Adcock has the capital to own the whole stack. My hesitation is ownership. If your memory lives inside someone else's walled garden, you're renting your own mind. That's why we build 📝MythOS and 📝BrianBot on open systems: your context should be portable and yours. I'm watching Handoff closely, but self-reported benchmarks don't move me yet.
