Mythos

Archer Aviation (NYSE: ACHR) is an electric aircraft company founded in 2018 by ๐Ÿ“Brett Adcock and Adam Goldstein that develops electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for urban air taxi service. Its flagship aircraft, Midnight, is a piloted, all-electric air taxi that carries four passengers on short back-to-back trips meant to replace 60- to 90-minute car rides. Archer manufactures Midnight with partner Stellantis, and United Airlines is both an investor and a planned operator.

Archer went public through a ๐Ÿ“SPAC merger in 2021; Adcock left in 2022, and Goldstein leads the company as CEO. Archer remains largely pre-commercial: it reported a $618 million net loss for 2025 and $1.6 million in revenue for the first quarter of 2026. On certification, it became the first eVTOL maker to have the FAA accept all of its means of compliance and closed Phase 3 of type certification in May 2026, and its partners in Texas, Florida, and New York were selected for the White House's eVTOL Integration Pilot Program. The UAE is its first international market, with Abu Dhabi Aviation as launch customer. Archer has since widened beyond air taxis into defense and autonomy, including an autonomous hybrid-electric VTOL developed with Anduril, the Halo and Thunder autonomous platforms, and a 2026 agreement with Boeing; it also agreed to buy Hawthorne Airport in Los Angeles for about $126 million.
