The The Journey To Onewelcome email was sent to friends to establish consent around the sending of my weekly email. In this email, copied below, I shared insights and intentions with a clear ask.

In 2006, Maria Popova began a Weekly Email to Seven Friends. Only later did it move online and become the The Marginalian blog which, today, has millions of dedicated readers. It has become a community united by a common purpose; a "search for truth, beauty, and meaning."
Connect the Dots looking back, I see that the purpose of my search wasn't for truth or beauty or meaning... I sought resonance. More than anything, I desired to feel understood.
From this, came Contextual Augmentation; this emoji-laden style of emailing which enables you to sync quickly at a high level and Choose Your Own Adventure into a deeper dialogue. The more I've explored this Nonlinear Communication, the more it seems many things become One.
To find resonance, I am creating resonance. Inspired by Popova, I am curating a weekly email to friends called The Journey To One. You are, for me, a tuning fork and I'd love to include you.
My intent is to showcase and support those who Build cool shit and change the world. You can be as engaged as you're able, but I would be touched if you had me in your inbox each week.
