Mythos

HubSpot Agent CLI is a 📝HubSpot product that lets AI coding agents such as 📝Claude Code and 📝Codex create, read, update, and delete CRM records — contacts, companies, deals, and more — through a terminal interface, acting with the permissions of the signed-in HubSpot user. In beta through 2026, it is positioned for repetitive, high-volume work such as bulk updates, deduplication, pipeline moves, and test-data generation, where an agent writes a reusable script instead of reasoning through every step, and every change can be previewed in dry-run mode before it commits. It is for HubSpot admins and builders working from coding agents; HubSpot describes it as a companion to the 📝HubSpot Developer MCP Server, and Super Admins can opt their account into a Revenue Data beta.

It's the closest HubSpot comes to what Clay and Cargo ship for agents — same install pattern, a CLI plus a skills bundle — but it operates records that already exist rather than finding new ones. Its dry-run preview is the guarantee I'd like every GTM CLI to copy.

Key Features

  • Record operations — Agents create, read, update, and delete contacts, companies, deals, and other objects across the account, limited to the signed-in user's permissions.
  • Scriptable bulk work — Agents chain commands into reusable scripts for bulk updates, deduplication, and pipeline moves, so repeat runs skip step-by-step LLM reasoning.
  • Dry-run mode — Every change can be previewed first, showing which records will change and to what values, before anything commits to the HubSpot account.
  • Agent CLI Skills — A skills bundle installed with npx skills add hubspot/agent-cli-skills gives agents built-in guidance on HubSpot data and common processes.

Getting Started

  1. Open a coding agent such as Claude Code, Codex, or 📝Claude Cowork.
  2. Ask the agent to install the HubSpot Agent CLI in its workspace.
  3. Authenticate with hubspot auth login in the browser window that opens.
  4. Add the skills with npx skills add hubspot/agent-cli-skills.
  5. Run hubspot --help, then dry-run any bulk change before committing it.
