Siri AI is 📝Apple's rebuilt, conversational version of 📝Siri, released in beta on September 14, 2026 with iOS 27 and the other 2027 software releases, powered by the next generation of 📝Apple Intelligence.
Siri AI is a 🏷️#voice-assistant that combines personal context from a user's messages, emails, and photos with broad web knowledge, onscreen awareness, and systemwide app actions. It supports multi-turn follow-up conversations, and a dedicated Siri app syncs conversation history across 📝iPhone, iPad, Mac, 📝Apple Watch, and Apple 📝Vision Pro through 📝iCloud. It can be invoked by voice, the side button, the Dynamic Island, Spotlight, or Control-click context menus, and its Visual Intelligence features add a Siri mode to the iPhone Camera app.
The release extends to integrated Writing Tools, systemwide proofreading, photorealistic Image Playground generation, describe-to-build Shortcuts, and Safari tab organization. Audio Intelligence features for Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, including Live Rewind and Siri Recap, are slated for beta in late 2026.
The underlying Apple Foundation Models were built in collaboration with 📝Google and its 📝Gemini models, running on device and through Private Cloud Compute. Apple states that personal data handled by Private Cloud Compute is neither stored nor accessible to Apple. Launch availability is English only, with French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish following in October 2026; Siri AI is excluded from the EU on iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS and from China, and server-side features carry daily usage limits, with paid expanded access announced for the future.
