The User is Drunk by 📝Richard Littauer was a 📝Meticulously Ridiculous project in which he offered reviews of user experience design while—as the name suggests—substantially inebriated.

The 🏷️#one_page_website states simply:

Your website should be so simple, a drunk person could use it. You can't test that. I'll do it for you. I'll get very drunk, and then review your website. I'll send you my screencast; you'll get a video of me, as a new user, and as a designer trying to keep it together.

Littauer's submission of The User Is Drunk project to Hacker News reached the "top" within an hour and drove nearly 100k visitors on the first day—reaching 300k visitors within the week. The User Is Drunk was, then, featured by Gizmodo, TechCo, FastCo Design, Hubspot, and more.

I interviewed Richard on Episode 008 of the 📝Ghost Influence Podcast as we discussed the genesis of the idea, his conversion of the attention into client work, etc.
