Humam Sakhnini is the CEO of 📝Discord, appointed April 28, 2025. He replaced co-founder 📝Jason Citron in a 📝leadership transition widely interpreted as pre-IPO positioning.
Sakhnini spent the bulk of his career at 📝Activision Blizzard. He served as CEO of King, the mobile gaming subsidiary behind Candy Crush Saga — a studio built on microtransactions and mobile advertising. He was subsequently promoted to Vice Chairman of Activision Blizzard, where he worked directly under CEO 📝Bobby Kotick and helped oversee the $68.7B Microsoft acquisition (completed October 2023). He departed shortly after the deal closed.
His appointment at Discord is seen as bringing public-company monetization expertise to a platform preparing for its confidential IPO filing (January 2026, Goldman Sachs / JPMorgan).
