Manyu Belani is an π·οΈ#engineer and the Director of Engineering at Reefgen, an early-stage climate-technology company building robotic automation for ocean and coral-reef restoration. She earned a bachelor's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Belani's background sits at the intersection of robotics, hardware, and climate. Before Reefgen she worked as a mechanical engineer at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, the airborne-wind-energy venture Makani, and Tesla, spanning marine robotics, energy systems, and manufacturing. At Reefgen she leads technical operations for the company's restoration robotics, applying that hardware lineage to the problem of scaling reef regeneration.
I met Manyu at the πAstra Lumina Wedding Festival in June 2026.
