Mythos

Per-Memo SEO controls how a single memo appears to search engines and social platforms — its title tag, meta description, canonical URL, and share card. As an 📝SEO & AEO feature, it ships with sensible defaults — your memo title, an auto-snippet, a computed canonical — and lets paid-tier creators override each field when a memo deserves precise framing. It's for creators who want individual memos to rank and read well wherever they're shared.

Key Capabilities

  • Custom title & description — override the page title and meta description, up to 70 and 160 characters
  • Canonical URL — accept the computed canonical or set your own HTTPS canonical link
  • Open Graph & Twitter cards — every memo emits OG and summary-large-image card tags
  • Dynamic share image — an Open Graph image is generated per memo at 1200×630
  • Structured data — memo pages emit BlogPosting and BreadcrumbList JSON-LD for rich results

Getting Started

  1. Open a memo and find its SEO section in the editor sidebar
  2. Set a custom title (up to 70 characters) and description (up to 160), or leave them to use the memo title and snippet
  3. Optionally set a custom canonical URL — it must be HTTPS
  4. Publish — the memo's metadata, cards, and structured data update for crawlers and social platforms

Custom overrides require the Scholar or 📝Oracle tier; generated defaults apply to every public memo.

FAQ

  • Do I have to set SEO fields manually? No — every public memo gets a generated title, description, canonical URL, and share image automatically. Overrides are optional.
  • Is custom SEO a paid feature? Setting custom titles, descriptions, and canonical URLs requires the Scholar or Oracle tier; the automatic defaults are available to everyone.
  • What are the length limits? SEO titles cap at 70 characters and descriptions at 160 — matching what search engines display.
  • Can I point the canonical elsewhere? Yes, to any HTTPS URL — useful when the same content is published on another site you own.
  • Where does the share image come from? It's generated dynamically from the memo, so links unfurl with a branded 1200×630 card on social platforms.
