Mythos

Email Ingestion forwards emails into 📝Import & Export with natural-language instructions — send an article, newsletter, or web page to your private address with a note like "create my reference memo on this," and your augmented self interprets and executes it. It exists so capturing something doesn't require opening MythOS first; if you can forward an email, you can add to your library. It's for Scholar and Oracle creators who want their inbox to double as a capture point.

Key Capabilities

  • Private address — a unique ingest-{code}@ingest.mythos.one address; the address itself is the authentication
  • Natural-language instructions — write what you want at the top of the forward; create, update, or append to a memo
  • Smart targeting — when updating an existing memo, MythOS searches your library first to find the best match
  • Rate-limited and capped — 5 requests/minute per endpoint, a daily cap (default 25, configurable to 100)
  • Regenerable secret — rotate your address instantly if it's ever exposed

Getting Started

  1. Go to Settings → Email Ingestion and toggle it on
  2. Copy your unique address
  3. Forward an email with an instruction at the top, e.g. "Add this to my memo on X"

FAQ

  • Who can use this? Scholar and Oracle plan members.
  • What AI provider does it use? Your configured provider from Chat BYOK settings (OpenAI or Anthropic).
  • What happens if my address leaks? Regenerate it from settings — the old address is immediately invalidated, with no indication to anyone that it ever existed.
  • How fast does it process? Synchronously, with a 60-second timeout on the AI step; duplicate webhook retries are deduplicated automatically.
