Mythos

Police2Peace is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded in 2018, that works to redefine and advance American policing through the concept of the "Peace Officer." The organization trains and coaches law enforcement agencies, develops model policy, and builds community-engagement programs grounded in the observation that the term "peace officer" already appears in roughly 71% of state penal codes.

Police2Peace operated in its early years as a fiscally sponsored project of the Peace Development Fund. Headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, it has worked with more than 40 law enforcement agencies and become a federal contractor through programs supported by the Bureau of Justice Assistance, the COPS Office, and California officer-wellness grants. Its programs include Peace Officer Training, the Peace Officer Promise — a Hippocratic-style oath for police — a Peace Officer Model Policy, Police Leader Coaching built on Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching, Mobile Crisis mental-health initiatives, and Policing Performance 360, an AI-assisted personnel-evaluation tool built with CivicSolutions.

I founded Police2Peace and serve as its Executive Director.
