Francis and I had friends in common at HBS, and after I moved to San Diego in 2012 we reconnected and became close. We've followed similar entrepreneurial paths and both work as fractional executives to multiple companies — Francis gets a little more involved in operations, while I stick to the numbers and board communications — and we've resonated on collaborating to productize our work.
