Energy Work is hands-on or near-body practice that works with the client's subjective or 📝energetic body; effects are experiential and vary between individuals.
Traditions describe a vital field or life force — qi, prana, and related ideas — and treat restriction in that field as something touch can influence. Methods grouped under this umbrella include light contact, off-body holds, and still attention at specific regions. The client usually remains clothed. What people report ranges from warmth, tingling, or deep quiet to no distinct sensation at all.
There is no reliable clinical evidence that these methods treat disease, and this library does not claim that they do. The honest description is that some clients find the contact settling, clarifying, or complementary to denser tissue work such as 📝Deep Tissue Massage; others do not. Outcomes are not guaranteed and are not a substitute for licensed medical or mental-health care.
In a mixed bodywork session, energy-oriented contact is often used when the system is already near rest, or when stronger pressure would be too much — a similar quiet as 📝Craniosacral Therapy, though the maps and claims differ. It is defined by the client's experience of the field, not by a diagnosis the practitioner assigns.
