Mythos

Harry Max is the managing partner of Peak Priorities, a 📝San Francisco, CA area consultancy that helps executives, founders, and senior teams cut through ambiguity and make sharper decisions on complex prioritization problems. He is a 🏷️#consultant, executive coach, and 🏷️#author of Managing Priorities: How to Create Better Plans and Make Smarter Decisions (Rosenfeld Media, 2024), in which he distills decades of operating experience into a single applied method. Based in Santa Cruz, California, he positions himself as a thinking partner for leaders navigating fast-changing environments where pragmatic alignment and decisive action matter more than analytical perfection.

Before Peak Priorities, Max held product development, design, and strategy leadership roles across a long roster of technology companies and startups, including 📝Apple, 📝Microsoft, 📝Google, 📝Hewlett-Packard, PDI/DreamWorks, Adobe, 📝PayPal, Rackspace, 📝Skype, Symantec, 📝Silicon Graphics (SGI), Informatica, ITHAKA, and Yotascale. He was a co-founder of Virtual Vineyards (Wine.com), an early e-commerce pioneer where his work shaped one of the first usable and secure online shopping cart interactions. His signature framework is DEGAP — Decide, Engage, Gather, Arrange, Prioritize — which treats prioritization not as list-making but as a structured process of gathering the right information, organizing it, and making better tradeoffs. His work has been covered in 📝The Economist, 📝The New York Times, 📝The Wall Street Journal, 📝TEDx, and a 📝Harvard Business School (HBS) case study.

I was introduced to Harry by 📝Lisa Broderick in May 2026.
