Our Event Aggregator is a system that one studio developed to collect and duplicate events shared through newsletters using a combination of 📝Missive rules, 📝Make data process, 📝Clay enrichment, and 📝Airtable calendars.
I was frustrated constantly opening my inbox to see frequent emails from different community organizers in Los Angeles only to have to check what events I could go to and recheck the same events when they promoted them in later emails. Further, I was annoyed having to put forth so much effort, sharing with friends which events I would be going to. Creating the system enabled me to not only remove the duplication issue, but also publish a calendar of all events that I may or may not go to and to segment them by categories like "Startup Stuff", "Concerts and Festivals", etc.
