Jensen Abler is a Los Angeles–based visual effects 🏷️#artist who works as a VFX generalist. His Zerply profile lists twelve years in the field, including generalist engagements at MPC, Method Studios, Mousetrappe, Preymaker, Scholar, A52 and Brand New School, after an earlier role as a VFX artist at Ingenuity Studios from 2014 to 2016. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Digital Media from East Tennessee State University.
Abler also publishes open-source tooling on 📝GitHub, much of it for 📝Autodesk Maya: a curve-controlled procedural sand-heap generator, a sub-frame camera-jitter tool, a UV-distortion effect for projected textures, a V-Ray material converter, and a patch that pauses dirty-state polling while an artist works. More recent repositories turn to AI agent infrastructure, including Apocrypha, a single-user, append-only 📝Model Context Protocol (MCP) memory server shared between his 📝Claude and 📝ChatGPT assistants. His portfolio site, jensenabler.com, hosts a reel and a short personal statement describing himself as "an agent of wholeness."
