One Inc Cooperative is looking for an exceptional communications manager, a Culture Creator, to join our growing Communications team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and executing our internal and external communications strategies — to keep our community informed, act as a liaison to the executives and a partner to teams across the Cooperative, and ultimately help to maintain our transparent, inclusive, uniquely encompassing culture as we grow.
Responsibilities
- Drive strategy, plan content, and oversee execution for our internal communications with our worker-members and external communications with our community writ large
- Partner closely with One's executives and team leads to ensure that our community remains well-informed on developments in our ecosystem, overall strategy, and emerging initiatives
- Write company communications on behalf of community leaders and project creators
- Partner closely with the 📝One Studio team to help programs and announcements succeed
- Draft, edit, and consult on key community-facing communications (across email, docs, 📝memos, slide decks, videos, live VC, community posts, and other emerging mediums)
- Proactively identify issues with understanding—whether aspects of our internal comms that are ineffective or areas of employee concern and confusion—and put forth solutions
- Help the company scale its communications channels — internal and external — using its suite of communications technologies as we grow and become ever more distributed
- Hire, teach, and empower other communications associates — ever expanding our influence
Requirements
- Relevant experience in communications with a demonstrated history of self-management
- Phenomenal writing and editing skills with a pension for rich and immersive storytelling
- Proven track record of successfully setting and scaling internal communications programs
- Experience partnering with senior executives and HR teams to craft strategic messaging
- Passion for creating a transparent, inclusive, and empathetic workplace culture with words
- Knowledge of the media and technology sectors and key policy issues affecting the internet
- Content creation and management skills a plus (e.g. HTML, markup, Airtable, Notion)
- Understanding of Reddit’s ecosystem — its product and community — is also a huge plus
