Tawny (Holguin) Toci is a Senior Director of Tech and VC Banking at First Republic Bank where she functions as an intrapreneur and supports startups in growing their businesses. Previously, Holguin was a Partner at Andreessen Horowitz; a $7.5 billion venture capital firm focused on software investments. There she developed a16z’s first team and program focused exclusively on early-stage, both proactively sourcing prospective deals as well as managing a portfolio of 300+ historic seed-stage investments. Tawny and I were connected by @John Zdanowski in mid-2019 and shared an energizing conversation. She wandered into @MythOS and shared potent reflections. Several years and a pandemic later we reconnected and got to meet in person for the first time. She is as brilliant as she is considerate and an energetic supercharger to anyone building cool shit.
