Mythos

Lindberg is a Danish luxury 🏷️#eyewear-brand, founded in 1969 in Aarhus, known for ultra-lightweight, screwless titanium frames and minimalist rimless designs made to order.

Lindberg was founded in 1969 in Aarhus, Denmark, by optician Poul-Jørn Lindberg and his wife as an optical store, and was built into a multinational design house by their son Henrik Lindberg. The company remains family-influenced and produces its eyewear in-house, with a design ethos rooted in Danish functionalism — minimal, durable, and unbranded on the frame face.

The brand pioneered the use of titanium in eyewear; its first product, a rimless frame, endures today as the Air Titanium collection, first presented in 1986, with frames weighing as little as 2.7 grams. In the mid-1980s, Poul-Jørn Lindberg worked with the Copenhagen architecture firm Dissing + Weitling to develop a signature screwless spiral hinge, which remains a cornerstone of the brand's construction. Positioned at the luxury end of the market, Lindberg was acquired by Kering Eyewear — which also handles Gucci, Cartier, and Bottega Veneta — in September 2021.
