My storyboard is an 8' by 15' wall in 🏷️#my-home that is a physical 📝manifestation of, what 📝Charles Eisenstein calls, my 📝Storyteller Consciousness; the story I am present in telling.
As we use the storyteller consciousness, we begin to disbelieve in our labels, categories, and abstractions, and come into contact with this human reality. Science, technology, politics, and government are all themselves stories. America is a story. France is a story. The law is a story. Words and symbols, that is all, they each have no more meaning than what we agree upon.
Our mistake has been not in telling stories, only in thinking they are real. When we let go of that, we are able to play with them consciously and let them go when they no longer serve us.
The stickies move as their frequencies (y-axis) and timings (x-axis) feel to shift (a time lapse video of this movement is in progress). This 📝practice, which I call 📝Material Thinking, enables me to move an idea from my mind in a physical space and has proven quite cathartic.
The colors represent the following (additional context below):
- Pink = Stories (formerly labeled 'Projects')
- Orange — Players (formerly labeled 'People')
- Blue — Toys (formerly labeled 'Products')
- Green — Games (formerly labeled 'Manifestations')
Architecture
The pink stickies represent stories; a label that was once 'Projects' and now reminds me of the 📝Storyteller Consciousness and my ability to craft reality with stories and 📝mythos.
The orange stickies represent players; a reference to 📝Partners In Presence which explored how 📝play—defined as "time spent without purpose"—brings us into the present. For me, this change mitigates the
