Objective
Adam Cheyer is an American computer scientist and entrepreneur known for co-founding Siri Inc., which was later acquired by Apple and became the foundation for Siri, Apple’s voice assistant. Cheyer studied computer science at Brandeis University and later earned his master’s in artificial intelligence from UCLA. Before Siri, he was Chief Architect of the CALO project at SRI International’s Artificial Intelligence Center. Beyond Siri, he co-founded Change.org and Sentient Technologies. After departing Apple in 2012, Cheyer founded Viv Labs, which was acquired by Samsung in 2016. Most recently, he co-founded GamePlanner.AI with Siamak Hodjat; the company was acquired by Airbnb in 2023. As of May 2024, Cheyer holds the position of VP of AI Experience at Airbnb, continuing his long-standing trajectory of building cutting-edge, user-centric AI systems.
